Mbaye Diagne

This from Obsidian Wings, by way of Bitch, PhD: yet another amazing story from the ashes of the Rwandan Genocide.

Did you see Hotel Rwanda and Sometimes in April? I was very moved by both, but especially impressed by the latter. They are good in concert with one another, in any case.

HBO has the best documentaries. I haven’t seen April yet, but I’ve heard good things abou tit.

Hotel Rwanda was just a great story. You have to admire it as fantastic movie making even if it gives short shrift to the m typical Rwandan.

Also, it was chilling to me that the radio was a villian. The radioman is always a hero!

That’s why I read your blog–a world view when the world outside lacks one. I will go get these movies asap.

Hey Matt, Sometimes in April is on showtime right now, if you know anyone who gets it. If not, I am sure they will get it into video stores.
Glad you’re here!
